Classic Summer Honey
Miels d'Anicet
About the product
Summer in a jar. This organic, unpasteurized honey sourced from the Miels d’Anicet hives at the end of July is cold extracted, filtered and liquified at low temperatures to preserve the natural properties and aromas of the final product in a more liquid format.
Made from clover, linden, brassicas, and wild raspberry blossom, the very apparent floral taste found in this jar is also a result of the many wildflowers found in Upper Laurentians in July. The slight minty taste is a result of linden blossom nectar.
A note on crystallization: This is an entirely natural phenomenon in unpasteurized honey. A bit of stirring will separate these crystals to blend with any other ingredients used. Should you wish to restore to its original liquid state, simply heat gently in a double boiler. Ensure that only a simmer is maintained (do not boil).
About the brand
Miels d'Anicet are beekepers located near the base of the Montagne du Diable in the Upper Laurentians region of Québec. This wild, forested area is not marked by intensive agriculture, making it an ideal environment for their 1,000 beehive apiary.
The brand's gourmet line of products highlights the natural notes found in their organic and unpasteurized honeys by combining them with high quality ingredients. With a mission to develop a honey culture in Québec, Miels d'Anicet actively fights against the notion that honey is a homogenized and blended product without distinction.
